Tudor presents a watch based on the legendary prototype developed in the late 1960s and designed for the US Navy. Created in today’s sporting spirit, the Black Bay P01 has also mastered the principle of placing the crown in the 4th-hour position according to the original 60s models. The up to 200 m waterproof watch with date display features a vaulted matte black dial with luminescent clock markers. Respecting the utilitarian aesthetics of the prototype that inspired them, the 42-mm case is completely ground to a matte finish. The strap designed for Black Bay P01 consists of a rubber base with a snowflake motif on the back, finished with a leather trim. In the spirit of the historic prototype, the strap is attached to the watch case with the help of satin-brushed steel attachments. MT5612 factory caliber certified by the official Swiss chronometric institute C.O.S.C. declares a 70-hour power reserve.
