Štrbské Pleso / High Tatras

The company Sheron has become partner of a unique sports event called Polo on Snow J&T Banka Trophy. The historically first polo competition on snow in Slovakia took place on February 5 – 7, 2010 on the frozen surface of the mountain lake Štrbské Pleso. This elegant sport attracted thousands of visitors who had the possibility to watch matches of four different teams – Bollinger, BMW, Park Snow and Cartier during these 3 days. The winner of the finals match was team BMW, seconded by team Park Snow, further team Bollinger a team Cartier placed number four.
The participants could indulge in served refreshments in heated tents and there were many other accompanying activities such as performances of different folk groups, curling, rides in horse carriages and also the possibility to try out a game of polo. The gallery of statues made of ice or a typical market in the mountains with performances of traditional handicraft also attracted many visitors. This event perfectly reflected the corporate philosophy of the company Cartier which was at the foundation of several renowned polo competitions and that is why it could not have missed this one as well.
